〔即時新聞／綜合報導〕駐英美國空軍一架的F-15C戰機今（15）日稍早在英國東約克郡外海的北海海域墜毀，機上一名飛行員生死未卜，美國空軍已經證實墜機，並已出動搜救。

綜合外媒報導，美國空軍發表聲明表示，失事機型為F-15C鷹式戰鬥機，隸屬第48戰鬥機聯隊，駐紮在英國皇家空軍萊肯希思基地（RAF Lakenheath），於當地時間上午9時40分（台灣時間下午4時40分）左右墜機。

美國空軍指出，事發當時，該架戰機正進行例行性訓練，機上只有飛行員一人，「墜機原因及飛行員狀態目前未明，英國搜救隊和救援單位已經前往現場協助搜索，一旦有最新消息就會馬上發布」。

根據飛航網站顯示，稍早在北海空域有3架KC-135與1架E-3預警機正在盤旋，疑似是在尋找F-15C鷹式戰鬥機的下落。

Less than three hours later, an F-15 on a different training exercise and with two people on board, faced an emergency when the cockpit canopy cracked.

It is thought the jet hit a bird near Skegness, Lincs.

The pilot made an emergency landing at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk from where both aircraft, which were flying in fog and low cloud, had taken off.

He will arrive at 1:55 at Salt Lake City International Airport.
The route following his arrival is I-215 to Legacy, Legacy to 89, 89 to Shepard Lane to 1075 W. 1075 West, heading north to the mortuary.

Lt. Allen’s viewing will be on July 3rd and his funeral will be on Independence Day, according to family.
