31st of October. Ukrainians launched two HIMARS guided rocket against a hotel in Alchevsk, Luhansk region. Russian units were stationed in the hotel. Once again, HIMARS rockets demonstrated their pinpoint accuracy. The target was destroyed, but the nearby residential buildings were not damaged.

In 2014 unit price of the M142 HIMARS was around $5.1 million. This figure included the launcher vehicle and some ammunition. Each GMLRS guided rocket costs around $160 000. So a full salvo of HIMARS costs a whopping $960 000.

M30 guided rocket. It is also referred as Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System, Guided MLRS, or GMLRS. This weapon was developed to counter the threat of hostile long-range rocket and cannon artillery to the US forces. It was a replacement for the basic M26 and M26A2 ER artillery rockets. The M30 rocket has a range of 65-70 km and has substantially improved accuracy due to the use of built-in GPS system. It is fitted with a dual-purpose warhead with 404 bomblets. The M30 provides the same lethality as the M26 and M26A2 but fewer rockets are required to hit the target. By 2019 this rocket was no longer used by the US Military. The remaining M30 rockets were converted to M30A1 and M31A1 variants.

M30A1, M30A2 GMLRS-AW is a version of the GMLRS with a so called "alternative warhead". This is a 90 kg airburst fragmentation warhead. It explodes about 10 m above ground to disperse its 160 000 pre-formed fragments. This warhead is effective against area targets, including troops, vehicles, radars, forward command posts. Also it meets the US unexploded ordnance policy requirements. Range of fire is 65-70 km. This rocket was tested by the US Army in 2014 and was adopted shortly afterwards. Production commenced in 2015. Eventually it replaced in service the M30 guided rockets. The M30A1 could be a designation of the M30 rockets, fitted with alternative warhead.

M31 is a so called GMLRS-U or "unitary" rocket with a single 90 kg High Explosive (HE) warhead. Warhead has 23 kg of explosive content. Range of fire is 65-70 km. Some sources report that maximum range is 92 km. Production commenced in 2005. These rockets are used by the US military.

M31A1 is an improved version of the M31. This could be a designation of the M30 rocket, converted to the M31 standard. This guided rocket has a range of 65-70 km. Some sources report that maximum range is 92 km.

n 2022 during the war in Ukraine the M142 HIMARS was widely used against the Russian targets. It proved to be an extremely accurate and deadly system. Multiple Russian command posts, ammunition storages and concentrations of troops and armored vehicles, bridges were destroyed by these artillery rocket systems. Most of the targets were located well behind the frontlines. Ukrainians reported that there were cases when the first HIMARS GMLRS rocket would hit the building and the second rocket would go through the same hole in the building. Russian air defense systems are not effective against saturated HIMARS attacks. The guided rockets could not be intercepted by Russian air defenses, although this can not be said about the ATACMS ballistic missiles. Also the HIMARS proved to be vastly superior to comparable Russian Uragan 220 mm multiple launch rocket system. Even though the Uragan carries more rockets it has significantly shorter range and is rather inaccurate. The Uragan is effective only against area targets, but not against point targets. On the other hand the HIMARS demonstrated a pin-point accuracy with its GMLRS missiles. Deliveries of HIMARS and M270 MLRS systems to Ukraine essentially changed the course of war in Ukraine. By September 2022 a total of 16 M142 HIMARS and 9 M270 MLRS systems were delivered and these systems broke the backbone of Russia logistics.

The Tornado multiple launch rocket system may be Russia's answer to the US HIMARS. The 9A52-4 was first revealed in 2007. It is a lightweight and universal version of the Smerch MLRS. The 9A52-4 is more strategically and tactically mobile, but mobility comes at a cost of reduced firepower. This artillery rocket system is aimed both at the Russian Army and export customers. However by 2018 it received no production orders.
The 9A52-4 Tornado is fitted with a single container with six launching tubes for 300 mm rockets. It can fire all current Smerch rockets, including HE-FRAG, incendiary, fuel-air explosive, cluster with anti-personnel or anti-tank mines. Cluster rounds may also carry self-targeting anti-tank munitions. A standard rocket is 7.6 m long and weights 800 kg. Maximum range of fire is 70 km with ordinary and 90 km with extended-range rockets. Rockets are fitted with range and direction correction system for better accuracy. A full salvo of this rocket system covers area of 32 hectares.

於第一段影片中，一隊俄羅斯步兵戰車的車隊遭到烏克蘭第 53 機械化旅的坦克砲擊，由於身處在空曠的郊外，因此片段中大部分的俄軍戰車都被摧毀，更有被精準命中的戰車於迅間解體。

而在第二段影片中，某台大砲被徹底摧毀，且冒起大火與濃煙，最終被爆炸吞噬。
據報是俄羅斯部署在頓內茨克地區的自走炮，用以襲擊當地的民居。
於近日終遭到烏軍第 72 機械化旅的摧毀，而相似的自走炮此前已 5 次被摧毀。
