Most German aircraft had electrically operated (fired) armament, which made selection of different weapons configurations and counting of ammunition easy.
Some of the planes also had a mechanism to pneumatically reload guns when the trigger was released if the last shell was not fired.
This made it possible to unjam the guns just by pressing the trigger repeatedly.

Most Me-110 night fighters were lost to midair collisions and German flak.
Few were downed by RAF gunners.
Eighty percent of Lancaster tail gunners didn’t even return fire when attacked, since they never saw their adversaries.
(The night fighters didn’t use tracer rounds.)
At one point, the victory-to-loss ratio was 30 RAF bombers downed for every Me-110 lost.

This is the Falcon, or GAR-1 (Guided Aircraft Rocket), the first of a large family of U.S. air-to-air solid-fuel guided missiles and the first guided air-to-air missile to enter operational service.
GAR-1 was radar-guided.

其實傷亡率最高的是腰部，其次是尾部
雖然文章內有說是因為把沒有球型砲塔的B-24也算進去把分母稀釋掉，而且是1944年6~8月的統計，傷亡大多來自防空炮，也不會遇到裝30mm機砲的噴射機
不過把B-24全部換成B-17且整體傷亡率不變的話
球型砲塔死亡率還是比尾部跟腰部低

此時，無人機已經接近一個名為紐霍爾（Newhall）的郊區小鎮。
飛行員又一次嘗試攻擊，卻依然全部脫靶。

最後，無人機轉向帕姆代爾方向，兩架戰鬥機對著它分別發射了30枚火箭彈，這是他們最後僅剩的彈藥。
這些火箭彈又一次脫靶了。
這樣，全部208枚火箭彈都沒有擊中目標。
