連續發生異常
台軍2架F-16V戰機緊急降落

隸屬嘉義基地第4聯隊的F-16V，周四（14日）下午例行訓練時突然出現油量顯示異常，機師立即緊急轉飛至澎湖馬公基地，最終平安降落。
空軍司令部表示，F-16V在石礁空域訓練時因油量顯示出問題，遂由長機隨伴轉降馬公基地，人機均安，將查明原因及依技令維修，確保飛機妥善。

隸屬花蓮基地第5聯隊的F-16V周三（13日）完成大修後試飛，卻在空中發生故障，返回花蓮基地安全降落。
空軍司令部當晚證實，F-16V引擎警告燈亮起，而非引擎熄火。

The F-16 can only fly past aircraft carriers, but not land.
The fighter was not designed for such action.
If he does try, his attempt will be unsuccessful.
First, it won’t be able to land on the aircraft carrier’s short runway.
Or it will crash on the deck, and failing that, fall into the water at the other end of the ship’s runway.
As for the pilot – if he is only trained to fly the F-16, his chances of surviving such a landing are estimated to be zero.
He would have to eject in time if he wanted to save his life.

The F-16’s main problem for landing on an aircraft carrier is not just one.
For example, the F-16 needs at least 800 meters of runway length, while the aircraft carrier has about 300 meters.
And the arresting hook isn’t the same as a carrier one, so it would rip it out of the F-16.
This means that the F-16 will most likely remain “belly” on the deck.
This may slow down the speed, but hardly.
