かつて世界の７つの海を支配した英国海軍が、限界を超えた予算不足にあえいでいる。
英国経済の不振によって防衛予算の削減が続き、ついに海軍旗艦の揚陸ヘリ空母「ＨＭＳオーシャン」をブラジルへ売却する動きが本格化しているというのだ。
売却が実現した場合、空母が１隻もない状態での任務を強いられることに。
斜陽の英国海軍は、歴史上最も困難な時を迎えつつある。

A "continuous line" of personnel are reportedly resigning from the £3.1 billion ship - which has not yet begun sea trials originally planned for the spring - because of "dull" conditions onboard.

The impressive 65,000-ton carrier, capable of carrying up to 40 aircrafts, is due to begin sea trials this summer before it completes its first voyage to its home in Portsmouth, Hampshire, in autumn.
It had been due to undertake sea trials in the spring.
