Here you see the floorboards fell away and rusted pipes beneath.
This wasn’t in every location of the bunker.
The bunker served as the Nazis’ Western Front military command center and housed dozens of German officers and their staff.

More than 70 years after he died in World War II, Army Air Forces 2nd Lt. Charles E. Carlson, is finally coming home.

Carlson was 24 when the plane he was piloting was shot down on Dec. 23, 1944, south of Bonn, Germany.
According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, Carlson, who was from New York, was buried at the site by German officials.

A US clothing company has come under fire after T-shirts appeared online featuring swastikas in a move aimed at reclaiming the symbol as one of "love".

The attempt to rebrand the Nazi emblem as a symbol of "peace" was criticised on social media as the public refused to support the campaign.

Grand Illusion is routinely called ‘one of the greatest movies ever made’.
A powerful anti-war film about French soldiers who are prisoners in a German camp during World War One, the film’s director Jean Renoir wanted to show that there really wasn’t much difference between the two sides.

But the film was released in 1937, as another war was just on the horizon.
The Nazis promptly banned Grand Illusion for its pacifism.
As it became clear that World War Two was inevitable, the French government did the same - the film’s message that national boundaries are illusions wasn’t conducive to a fighting spirit.
