政府軍最近腦子上線了，終於學會不要硬是衝向明眼人都會覺得有重兵把守的道路了。

原本大家以為政府軍重點會放在打通蘇赫那去救援代爾祖爾，結果反而是跑去收復和伊拉克之間的輸油管還有在拉卡省沿著SDF的前線把IS繼續推離拉卡市。

在帕邁拉方面終於推到蘇赫那外，拉卡省南方貼著SDF前進的部隊也打下蘇赫那北方的聯絡道路了，接下來他們…跑到沒有道路的沙漠裡向幼發拉底河前進，已經拿下與河平行的4號公路上三十公里的一串村莊了，不過還沒有真的推到河岸的樣子。

目前仍然看不出政府軍的意圖，無論是沿河向代爾祖爾發進或是調頭圍蘇赫那都有可能。不過讓人猜不到也好。

在美國扶持的反抗軍Al-Tanf邊哨傳出了革命突擊軍(Jaish Maghawir al-Thawra，原新敘利亞軍)的士兵帶著美械向政府投誠的消息。據說是因為美國想要撤離導致的，但官方說沒有要撤出Al-Tanf這回事。

可能終於發現美國指導民兵的戰術比較好用，終於學起來了
現在北邊貼著河吃SDF掃蕩過的殘羹比較容易啃
然後擴大縱深包夾城鎮，再回頭來啃比較能安心啃

Late last year, the BBC's Mike Thomson received a desperate call from a bomb shelter in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
It came from head teacher and mother of three Om Mudar, who pleaded for help getting her terrified family out of the rebel-held part of the city.
When Thomson was unable to make contact again, he feared the worst - but, as he explains here, months later a text message arrived that revealed Om's fate.

Although Salim believes that the family's home in East Aleppo is still standing, they have no plans to return there just yet.
He says he has heard there is little left to return to.
No electricity, no water and no work.

Plus, Salim adds, there is a possibility that he and Om might be arrested by the Syrian regime.
Instead they aim to join his relatives in a rural area of rebel-controlled Idlib province.

US Blackwater guard's murder conviction overturned

A US appeals court has overturned a murder conviction for a former Blackwater security guard over the killing of 14 Iraqi civilians in 2007.

The court ordered a retrial for Nicholas Slatten, saying he should not have been tried alongside three others.

It also ruled that his convicted former colleagues Paul Slough, Dustin Heard and Evan Liberty be resentenced.
They were all jailed for 30 years.
