做運輸艦把戰鬥機大批遠程運輸。如原PO圖所見，那種裝載法是犧牲了空母作為「空母」的功用－機庫堆到連為艦載機提供維護、作戰起降作業的空間也不夠。
英國的全部是F-35B，艦載機跟過去操作Harrier時同樣由海軍和空軍共同承擔。

Is that an operational load though?. Not a chance. It turns QE into an aircraft ferry.

As has been mentioned already we, the RN, dont traditionally employ permanent deck parks as in the USN model. Our principle operating environment has always been the North Atlantic, Biscay, North Sea and approaches. Not areas that can generally be relied upon for good weather conditions. Planes on deck get subject to environmental damage and have even been known to slide over the side from time to time - which is costly and generates much paperwork and finger pointing.

Then we come to little things like pilots, deck crew and logistics. The ship is scaled to embark a specific operational maximum airgroup. It has fuel bunkers and spares/ordnance to support 3 sorties per day for x days and, following that, 2 sorties a day for y days further. Adding planes without adding to the support capabilities of the ship doesn’t generate more sorties -it just spreads them over a larger number of airframes. The larger the number of airframes making it harder to move them around the deck and hangar making, in turn, the process of strike generation actually more difficult rather than less so. We’re only likely to have 48 service ready F-35B’s at any one time anyway so 72 on a single deck is a nonsense before kickoff anyway!.

這時候機庫艦上的飛機就可以飛到空母上執行補給掛彈之類

回來的時候多出來的飛機直接在機庫艦上垂直降落
